  • Do I have to be an ECE Credentialed trainer to be a Kentucky Family Thrive Trainer?No, you do not have to be an ECE credentialed trainer to be a Kentucky Family Thrive Trainer.
  • Can I charge for trainings?Yes, once a trainer, you may charge for your time each time you conduct a training. However, the Department of Public Health will continue to offer the trainings for free throughout the state.
  • How do I know which CEUs my participants need?We recommend asking your participants during the registration process about their CEUs. You can visit the following websites to register your training for CEUs: • Speech Pathologists • Occupational Therapists • KY EILA Credits • ECE-TRIS • Social Workers
  • If I am not an ECE credentialed trainer how do I register my training for ECE-TRIS credit?You can find a tip sheet here on how to register your training with ECE-TRIS
  • How do I attend a Family Thrive or Connect the Dots TOT?You can email kysf@ky.gov for training updates.
  • Do I need to let anyone know when I have offered a training?Yes, please email kysf@ky.gov the location, dates, times, number of participants and types of CEUs offered.
  • I attended a Kentucky Strengthening Families Overview. Does that make me a Kentucky Strengthening Families trainer?No, you must come to a Kentucky Strengthening Families Train the Trainer training. If you believe you completed this training and no record can be found, you must complete the training again.
  • Is Kentucky Strengthening Families a program?No, KYSF offers a research-based approach to help organizations that work with children and families to become more intentional in how they connect with and serve their clients. This is a framework that can be implemented by any organization that serves children and families.
  • I attended the Kentucky Family Thrive TOT and no longer have access to my materials. What should I do?Email kysf@ky.gov and a new link will be sent to you once your trainer status is verified.
